Bagherhat, July 14 (V7N)- Hoglabunia Union in Morelganj, Bagherhat, suffers from neglect and development obstruction. Due to inadequate communication infrastructure, the educated population in this area faces reduced opportunities.

It is learned that in the Pathamara village of Hoglabunia Union, there are several educational institutions including Badnibhangga High School, 237 No. Shahidnagar Government Primary School, SBPV Government Primary School, and Chhota Badura Government Primary School, along with four mosques and two madrasas. There is also a market bazaar and a community clinic. Over two thousand people reside here, including students from schools, madrasas, and colleges. However, the roads in this area are impassable. Even walking is difficult, let alone using vans, bicycles, or motorcycles to travel a distance.

Asma Begum, who comes to the community clinic, says, 'We have to suffer to come to the community clinic for minor problems. But if someone gets seriously ill, it's not possible to go to the Morelganj Upazila Health Complex for treatment, which forces the people of this village to risk their lives.'

Local residents Sekendar Ali Sheikh and Kabir Bepari state, 'Pathamara village is very neglected. Representatives are never seen here except during elections. There is no development. Our children have to wade through water and mud to go to school. During the rainy season, the road to school becomes ankle-deep in water. Recently, two bridges near Shahidnagar Government Primary School were repaired by Headmaster Omar Faruq Talukdar at his own expense. However, the condition of the roads in this area is so bad that it cannot be ignored. The road to Pathamara village school is in such a bad condition that it cannot be tolerated in any way.'

Regarding this issue, Shahidnagar Government Primary School's Headmaster Omar Faruq Talukdar says, 'During a little rain, the road around the school pond becomes muddy and slippery. At that time, students have to hurry to the school's classrooms. Many tender children do not know how to walk on slippery ground, and accidents can happen anytime.'

Due to extreme communication problems, especially during the rainy season, students and the general public suffer greatly. Several rough roads and broken bridges are a significant risk. Locals demand the reconstruction of these bridges.

Regarding this, Shahidnagar Government Primary School's Headmaster Talukdar Omar Faruq says, 'The dilapidated condition of the road is causing extreme hardship to children and students, as well as local residents' movements. Several rough roads and two bridges are very risky. I am demanding the administration to take strong measures for road repairs and bridge reconstruction.'
