PM Sheikh Hasina, the President of the Awami League, stated on Wednesday January 03 that she hopes the national election on January 7 would be free, fair, and impartial, marking a significant turning point in the nation's democratic history.
"People will vote for the candidates they support and ensure their victory. That's our goal," she declared.

At the party's campaign rallies in five districts and one upazila, Prime Minister Hasina was giving her introduction speech via videoconference from the Awami League office of the Dhaka District Unit.
According to her, this election will pave a wider route for the nation's progress towards greater economic prosperity.

Everyone must keep in mind how crucial this election is to Bangladesh, she remarked. "Because there is a large demand to play a wide variety of games with Bangladesh."

The Prime Minister reaffirmed that the nation will be destroyed by those who reject the spirit of the Liberation War, the Joy Bangla slogan, and Bangabandhu's March 7 address.
The fate of this nation's citizens will be used as a game of ducks and drakes. Hence, our goal is to make sure that this kind of game is never played again," she stated.
People must peacefully vote for the candidates they support, according to Hasina.
Nobody can oppose someone else here. She declared, "I don't want to get into any kind of fight."
She said that the slogan of Awami League is: ‘Will cast my vote and whoever I want’.

I thus ask that you cast your ballots however you see fit, but please do not cause any disruption. Everyone should be extremely patient and there should not be any unwelcome incidents. It should not be unclear in any way, the speaker stated.
She hoped that everyone would vote calmly. "And we need to keep that atmosphere intact."

She accused BNP-Jamaat of harmful operations once more, this time citing the railway industry. She said that the people of Bangladesh must respond to the BNP-Jamaat's mischievous actions.

"The people will triumph in the January 7 election, and we will be successful," she declared.

She asked the public once more to vote for boat, the Awami League's electoral emblem, to secure the party's triumph and provide an appropriate response to the horrors committed by the BNP-Jamaat.

"Boat voting is also essential to maintaining the nation's development pace. That's our goal," she declared.

According to Hasina, the Awami League has candidates in almost every constituency and has opened the race for those candidates who did not receive nominations.

She later spoke with a diverse group of people from the Chattogram district's Sandwip upazila as well as those from the districts of Gaibandha, Rajshahi, Tangail, Brahmanbaria, and Cumilla.

During the online event, she saw vibrant cultural programmes as well.
