Dhaka, Feb 28 (V7N) — Prime Minister Tarique Rahman continued official duties over the weekend, arriving at the Prime Minister’s Office in Tejgaon at around 10:15 am on Saturday.
Officials from various departments welcomed the Prime Minister upon his arrival. During the visit, he is scheduled to hold meetings and exchange views with officers, employees, and heads of subordinate departments to review ongoing administrative activities.
Earlier, on February 21, Tarique Rahman had worked at the Tejgaon office for the first time on a weekend since assuming office. On that day, he also greeted officials and employees who had previously served during the tenure of former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has invited the Prime Minister to an Iftar gathering scheduled for today at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in the capital.
Party Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar said the Prime Minister has expressed interest in attending the event, which is expected to bring together political leaders and guests.
Officials said the Prime Minister’s continued weekend engagements reflect the government’s push to maintain administrative momentum and oversee priority initiatives.
