Dhaka, Apr 09 (V7N) – In response to the ongoing energy crisis, severe traffic congestion, and the growing need for technology-based education, some educational institutions in the Dhaka metropolitan area will adopt a hybrid learning system from next week.
Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon announced the decision at a press conference held at the International Mother Language Institute on Thursday afternoon.
Under the new system, classes will be conducted in person three days a week—Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday—while online teaching will continue on the remaining days. Teachers will be present at schools even during online sessions to conduct classes. Friday will remain the weekly holiday.
The minister stated that the initiative will initially be implemented in institutions with large student populations in the Dhaka metropolitan area. However, it will not be mandatory for all schools. Only institutions with the capacity to effectively implement the hybrid system will adopt it.
He emphasized that the government aims to avoid any disruption to the education system and will expand the initiative nationwide if it proves successful.
