Dhaka, Apr 28 (V7N) — Prime Minister’s Defense Advisor Brigadier General Dr. AKM Shamsul Islam paid a courtesy call on Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen on Tuesday at the Armed Forces Division office in Dhaka Cantonment.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged greetings and held discussions on expanding technical and military cooperation between Bangladesh and China.

The talks focused on strengthening existing defense relations and enhancing strategic ties between the two countries. Both sides also discussed the potential for increased collaboration in the defense sector, including the exchange of modern military technology.

Officials familiar with the matter said the meeting is expected to contribute to further deepening Bangladesh-China bilateral relations, particularly in defense cooperation and strategic partnership.

The engagement reflects ongoing efforts by both countries to expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including security and technological development.
