Dhaka, Jun 20 (V7N) – Pakistan's High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Imran Haider, has said that Bangladesh and Pakistan share deep cultural ties and emphasized the importance of strengthening people-to-people relations between the two countries.

He made the remarks on Friday (June 19) while addressing a food festival organized by the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka to showcase Pakistan's rich and diverse culinary heritage.

Welcoming the guests, High Commissioner Imran Haider greeted members of the diplomatic community, academics, media representatives, and visitors from the general public who attended the day-long event.

Speaking to journalists, the envoy expressed satisfaction with the large public turnout.

"The large number of people participating in this event is very encouraging. People-to-people contacts will continue in the future, which will further strengthen the bilateral relations between our two brotherly countries," he said.

Visitors explored a wide variety of traditional Pakistani cuisine, while renowned Pakistani fashion brands also displayed their products during the festival.

Participants expressed appreciation for the Pakistan High Commission's initiative and showed keen interest in Pakistani food, culture, and fashion.

The event was attended by members of the diplomatic corps serving in Bangladesh, along with their family members, and remained open to the general public throughout the day as part of efforts to promote cultural exchange and strengthen bilateral ties between Bangladesh and Pakistan.
