Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has sent back 288 people including members of the Border Guard Police (BGP) who took refuge in Bangladesh ongoing internal conflict in Myanmar. They were sent back from the BIWTA Jetty in Cox's Bazar around 6 am on Thursday.
 
288 people from Myanmar were first picked up at Cox's Bazar Bakkhali River BIWTA Jetty early in the morning.
Then at 6:30 in the morning, they were taken by a ship to the Myanmar Navy ship stationed in the Bay of Bengal. The ship will go to the land port at Sittwe.

At that time, BGB's Cox's Bazar Sector Commander, Naikhongchori Zone Commander and related officers were present.
 
Meanwhile, In the last 3 months of this year, the government of Bangladesh has provided shelter and repatriation to 618 members of the Myanmar army and BGP on humanitarian grounds.
