A case application has been filed against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and four others, accusing them of involvement in an enforced disappearance that occurred in Uttara in 2015.
Supreme Court lawyer Sohel Rana submitted the application on Wednesday in the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Farzana Shakila Sumu Chowdhury.
The court recorded the plaintiff's statement and reserved the order, according to the plaintiff's lawyer, Md Sohel Rana.
The other accused include former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, former Law Minister Anisul Haq, former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Shahidul Haque, former Director General of RAB Benazir Ahmed, and 25 unidentified RAB members.
On Tuesday, a similar case was filed against Hasina and six others, alleging the murder of a grocery store owner named Abu Said.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury ordered that the application be accepted as a formal case based on the complaint filed by SM Amir Hamza, who claims to be a conscious citizen seeking justice for the murder of an innocent person.
