Savar, Dhaka, Dec 03, (V7N) - In a major breakthrough, police have arrested four individuals involved in the sensational murder of Faisal Kabir, a 32-year-old man, in Ashulia's Ghazirchat area. The arrest took place on December 2, following an operation carried out by police in Manikganj's Shivaloy police station area. The murder weapon, including two knives, a chapati, and three motorcycles, used during the crime, were recovered from the suspects.

During a press conference held at Ashulia police station on December 3, Dhaka District Additional Superintendent of Police (Savar Circle), Md. Shahinur Kabir, provided details of the arrest. The four individuals arrested are:

Mohiuddin Mahir (30), son of Abdul Mannaf, from Bechpata area in Shivaloy, Manikganj.

Shah Alam (26), son of Ibrahim, from Sonargaon area in Dhanut, Bogra district.

Rahul (30), son of Anwar Hossain, from Ambagan in Ghazirchat, Ashulia.

Habib (30), son of Ana Mia, also from Ghazirchat, Ashulia.

The victim, Faisal Kabir, was the son of Abul Kalam Azad, from Dharmadi Dakshinpara in Nagarkanda police station, Faridpur district. Faisal was employed by a private transport company and had been residing at Helal Khandkar's house in Madhya Gazirchat.

The crime took place on November 30, when Faisal Kabir was brutally hacked to death with a sharp weapon in Ghazirchat, Ashulia. The police immediately launched an investigation and identified the accused. Using information technology, the police tracked down the suspects, leading to their arrests. The investigation revealed that the murder stemmed from a land dispute.

Following their arrest, the suspects were presented before the court, and a Section 164 testimony was taken. The police have assured that operations to capture the remaining suspects are ongoing.

Ashulia Police Station OC Abu Bakar Siddique, along with Police Inspector Md. Kamal Hossain, Inspector of Police Abdul Barik PPM, and other police officers, were also present at the press conference.
