Khagrachari, Feb 13 (V7N) – The 165th birth anniversary of Shri Shri Ram Chandra Dev, one of the revered figures of the Sanatan community, is being celebrated with grandeur in Khagrachari. The festivities, which began yesterday, are being held at the Shri Kaibalya Peeth Temple, with various religious activities and rituals.
 
To mark the auspicious occasion, a grand two-day 12-hour long Tarakaboksha Mahamantra Yajna is being organized. This spiritual event is being conducted to invoke blessings from Lord Ram, and is a key component of the anniversary celebrations. The Yajna is being performed by esteemed priests and devotees of the temple, with participants chanting sacred mantras throughout the day.
 
The celebrations began early in the morning with the lighting of oil lamps, a ritual that symbolizes the removal of darkness and the welcoming of divine light. This was followed by several traditional ceremonies, including the installation of Shri Ram’s picture at the temple, the ritual of prana-pratishtha (invoking the divine spirit into the idol), and the chanting of religious hymns (Geerta Path).
 
In addition to these rituals, the temple is also hosting devotional music sessions, where renowned musicians are presenting bhajans and other spiritual songs that glorify Lord Ram. The highlight of the festivities is the distribution of Mahaprasad in Anand Bazar, where thousands of devotees are receiving blessings and partaking in sacred food.
 
Devotees from various corners of Khagrachari district, as well as nearby areas, have gathered at the Shri Kaibalya Peeth Temple to participate in the grand occasion. The temple premises are filled with an air of devotion, as people of all ages have come together to celebrate the birth of Lord Ram.
 
The festival will conclude with the Guru Puja and Bhogarthi, a special offering ceremony where devotees offer food to the deity in gratitude and seek divine blessings for their well-being.
 
The 165th birth anniversary of Shri Shri Ram Chandra Dev is not only a religious event but also an important cultural celebration for the Sanatan community in Khagrachari.
