Tangail, Mar 29 (V7N)– The Warriors of July, Tangail District Committee organized an Iftar Mahfil on Friday, March 29, to pray for the recovery of injured activists and to honor the memory of those who lost their lives.
"Warriors of July, Tangail District Committee organized an Iftar Mahfil on Friday, 29th Mach, to pray for the recovery of the injured warriors and the forgiveness of the souls of the martyrs," a local organizer confirmed.
The event, held to remember those affected by the July-August movement, was attended by injured activists and family members of the martyrs.
"Injured fighters of the July-August Movement and members of the martyrs' families were present," an event attendee reported.
The program was moderated by Member Secretary Md. Nawab Ali and presided over by Joint Convener Solaiman Hossain.

Member Secretary Nawab Ali emphasized the group's commitment to seeking justice and honoring the sacrifices made.
"Member Secretary Nawab Ali said, 'We are demanding the blood of the July wounded warriors and martyrs, and we are remembering the martyrs with respect for this new Bangladesh. Tangail, which has a tradition of struggle, has always been vocal in favor of justice, and has played a leading role in the final victory of 2024, including the 2018 quota reform movement and the movement for safe roads. The blood of the 9 martyrs of Tangail cannot go in vain. We will continue to fight for a transformed, civilized Bangladesh. If the Awami League is not banned soon, then all the warriors of Tangail will take to the streets again. At the same time, proper treatment and rehabilitation of the injured must be ensured,'" Nawab Ali stated.
The sister of Shaheed Ahnaf expressed the families' desire for the Awami League to be banned from political activity.
"Shahid Ahnaf's sister said, 'Our hope is that the Awami League will not be able to engage in politics in Bangladesh in any way,'" she reported.
The event was also attended by family members of other martyrs, including Shaheed Maruf's mother, Shaheed Ismail's son, Shaheed Lal Mia's family, and Shaheed Sadiq's parents.
