Tangail, Jan 11 (V7N)- The two-day "3rd International Conference on the Advancement of Life Sciences" commenced on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU), Tangail. Organized by the Faculty of Life Sciences, the event drew eminent academicians, researchers, and scientists from around the globe.
Inaugural Ceremony Highlights
The inaugural session was graced by the presence of:
- Chief Guest: Professor Dr. Hossain Uddin Shekhar, Vice-Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University, Gopalganj.
- Special Guests:
- Professor Dr. S. M. Abdul-Awal, Vice-Chancellor of Pabna Science and Technology University.
- Professor Dr. Md. Roknuzzaman, Vice-Chancellor of Jamalpur Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Science and Technology University.
The session was chaired by MBSTU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Anwarul Azim Akhand, with the welcome speech delivered by Professor Dr. Md. Omar Faruk, Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences, MBSTU.

The conference emphasized the transformative role of life sciences in addressing global challenges, including:

- Professor Dr. Ziarat Hossain, University of New Mexico, USA.
- Gene Scientist Dr. Abed Chaudhury, Genofax, Australia.
- Professor Dr. Haeng Muk Cho, Kongju National University, South Korea.
- Seven researchers from Nepal.
Additionally, 530 research papers were submitted, with 488 papers accepted. Researchers from countries such as the Philippines and various domestic and foreign institutions presented their work. The conference saw registration from about 800 researchers.
