DHAKA, Feb 16 (V7N) – The government has appointed five new Deputy Attorney Generals (DAGs) to represent the state in cases before the Appellate and High Court Divisions of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh.A gazette notification issued today by the solicitor wing of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs confirmed that the appointments are effective immediately.The newly appointed DAGs are Md Abdus Samad, Maloy Kumar Roy, Md Shafikul Islam, Md Isa, and Md Obaidur Rahman (Tarek).Notably, Md Isa and Md Obaidur Rahman (Tarek), who had been serving as Assistant Attorney Generals since August 28, 2024, had their AAG appointments revoked as they assumed their new roles as DAGs today.
