DHAKA, March 24, (V7N) — The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has undertaken extensive, multi‑layered security measures across the country to ensure peaceful and secure observance of Genocide Day on March 25 and Independence and National Day on March 26.

According to an official statement, RAB has deployed sufficient personnel nationwide, including in Dhaka, to prevent any untoward incidents. Intelligence surveillance has been intensified, with plainclothes monitoring in place as a precaution.

Special security arrangements have been made at key venues such as the National Memorial in Savar, National Parade Square, and other important sites where state programmes and public gatherings will take place. High‑profile attendance is expected, including the President, Prime Minister, cabinet members, diplomats, and senior civil and military officials.

Security has been tightened at parades, discussions, cultural programmes, film screenings, and fairs across metropolitan cities, divisional headquarters, and districts. RAB members are actively monitoring banned organizations and potential extremist elements.

The RAB Cyber Monitoring Team is operating round the clock to curb rumours, misinformation, and provocative content online. Temporary check posts have been set up at key entry and exit points of cities, while the Bomb Disposal Unit and Dog Squad are conducting sweeping operations in high‑security zones.

All RAB battalions are working in close coordination with local administration, public representatives, and other law enforcement and intelligence agencies. A central control room at RAB headquarters is overseeing nationwide operations, supported by local control rooms.

Citizens have been urged to cooperate and promptly report any suspicious activities to RAB patrols or battalion commanders. Authorities expressed confidence that, with coordinated efforts and public support, the national days will be observed in a peaceful, safe, and dignified manner.
