Oct 04, V7N- Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever was named the WNBA Rookie of the Year, receiving 66 out of 67 votes from a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters. Clark, who broke the all-time collegiate scoring record in her final year at Iowa, continued her stellar form in the WNBA by setting the single-season record for assists (337) and rookie records for points (769) and three-pointers (122). Her impressive performance helped lead the Fever to their first playoff appearance since 2016, although they were eliminated in the first round by the Connecticut Sun.

Reflecting on her journey, Clark expressed her gratitude on Instagram, stating, "Thank you to the many people who have supported me as I’ve been able to live my childhood dream." This marks the second consecutive year that a Fever player won the Rookie of the Year award, following Aliyah Boston's achievement in 2023.
