Munich, Sep 18 (V7N)- Bayern Munich produced a stunning 7-0 victory over Union Berlin on Friday, with Harry Kane reaching a historic Bundesliga milestone and Michael Olise scoring a spectacular hat-trick.
The emphatic victory lifted Bayern to the top of the Bundesliga table with 10 points from their opening four matches, while Kane's landmark goal further cemented his remarkable scoring record in Germany.
Kane became the fastest player in Bundesliga history to reach 100 goals, achieving the milestone in just his 98th league appearance. He surpassed the previous record of 129 matches held by Dieter Müller since the 1970s.
Bayern opened the scoring in the 18th minute when Jamal Musiala finished from an Alphonso Davies assist. The hosts doubled their advantage shortly before halftime after Olise was fouled inside the penalty area by Tom Rothe.
Kane stepped up to take the resulting penalty and calmly converted, bringing up his 100th Bundesliga goal in record time.
Olise then added Bayern's third goal just four minutes later, combining with Musiala before finding the net to give the hosts a commanding 3-0 lead at halftime.
Kane struck again in the 54th minute, firing a powerful effort after receiving an assist from Olise. The French winger then played a key role in Bayern's relentless attacking display.
Substitute Ismael Saibari made it 5-0 in the 70th minute before Olise completed his hat-trick with two quick goals in the 73rd and 76th minutes.
Olise's outstanding display included three goals, a won penalty and an assist, making him one of the central figures in Bayern's dominant performance.
The victory puts Bayern at the summit with 10 points. SC Freiburg sit second with nine points and have an opportunity to reclaim top spot when they visit Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
For Bayern, the result provided another emphatic statement of their attacking strength, while Kane's record-breaking century added another landmark to his prolific Bundesliga career.
