LONDON, April 1, (V7N) – Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has dismissed speculation linking club captain Bruno Fernandes with a potential move to Real Madrid, insisting that the Portuguese midfielder is "not going anywhere."
The 30-year-old playmaker, who has been at Old Trafford since 2020, has scored 95 goals in 277 appearances and remains a crucial part of United's squad. Despite recent reports suggesting a £90 million (€107.4 million) bid from Real Madrid, Amorim was firm in his stance.
"No, it's not going to happen," Amorim said on Monday. "Bruno is an essential player for us, especially during difficult moments of the season. We want to win the Premier League again, so we need our best players to stay."
Amorim further emphasized Fernandes' consistency, stating, "He plays 55 games a season, and between goals and assists, he contributes to at least 30. He’s exactly the type of player we need, and he’s happy here."
Fernandes is under contract at Manchester United until 2027, ensuring the club holds control over his future.
