Barcelona, May 13 (V7N) – Hansi Flick has confirmed that he will remain as head coach of FC Barcelona until 2028 following the club’s recent domestic success.
Flick initially joined Barcelona in May 2024 on a two-year contract and enjoyed a remarkable debut season, guiding the club to the La Liga title, the Copa del Rey and the Supercopa de España.
The German coach also led Barcelona to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League during his first campaign in charge.
This season, Barcelona successfully defended both the Spanish Super Cup and La Liga titles under Flick’s leadership. However, their Champions League journey ended in the quarter-finals, while they were also eliminated in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey.
Barcelona secured their second consecutive league championship after defeating Real Madrid 2-0 at Camp Nou last Sunday, clinching the title with three matches still remaining in the season.
