Tel Aviv, June 22 (V7N) — Iran has launched a series of drone and missile attacks on Israel in retaliation for the recent US strikes on its nuclear facilities, according to a report by the BBC. At least 11 people were reported injured in the Iranian assault on Sunday.

Among the injured, a 30-year-old man is in critical condition, while the other 10 sustained minor injuries, local health officials confirmed.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) issued an update through the country’s Home Front Command, stating that residents in affected areas could now leave bomb shelters. However, the IDF added that security forces are conducting search operations, particularly in locations where reports of projectile impacts have been received.

Iranian state television reported that several strategic locations in Israel were targeted, including Ben Gurion International Airport, military support bases, command and control centers, and a biological research facility.

The Iranian offensive comes in response to coordinated US airstrikes on three of Iran’s nuclear facilities—Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan—carried out late Saturday night.

Iran’s armed forces, including the elite Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters (KCHQ), have issued stern warnings against further US involvement in the conflict. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also echoed those warnings, signaling potential escalation depending on future actions.

With tensions running high and both sides trading strikes, global attention now turns to how Iran will respond to continued US involvement and whether further escalation is imminent.
