New Delhi, Apr 26 (V7N)– Renowned photographer and photojournalist Raghu Rai, widely regarded as the “Father of Indian Photography,” has passed away at the age of 83.
His son, Nitin Rai, confirmed that he died on Sunday (April 26) after battling cancer for nearly two years.
Raghu Rai was internationally acclaimed for his powerful visual storytelling and his significant contributions to photojournalism. His work during the Bangladesh Liberation War played a crucial role in shaping global public opinion in favor of Bangladesh, capturing the human cost and emotional depth of the conflict.
