LONDON, Oct 10, V7N-Liverpool's goalkeeper Alisson Becker is set to miss around six weeks due to a hamstring injury sustained during the recent 1-0 win over Crystal Palace. The 32-year-old Brazilian was forced off late in the match, and tests have confirmed that he is unlikely to return before the international break next month. This absence means he will miss critical fixtures against Chelsea on October 20 and Arsenal a week later, as well as upcoming Champions League matches against RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen.

Caoimhin Kelleher, who was sidelined for the Palace match due to illness, is expected to step in as the first-choice keeper in Alisson's absence. Kelleher previously filled this role when Alisson missed time due to another hamstring injury last season. Liverpool's manager, Arne Slot, expressed concern over the injury, acknowledging Alisson's importance to the team and labeling him "the best goalkeeper in the world."

Currently, Liverpool sits at the top of the Premier League table with 18 points from seven matches, just ahead of defending champions Manchester City and Arsenal.
