Dec 25, (V7N) – The Chicago Fire and veteran midfielder Gastón Giménez have mutually agreed to terminate his contract, the club announced Tuesday. This marks the end of a five-year tenure for the 33-year-old, who joined the Fire in 2020 as a designated player.Giménez contributed significantly to the Fire’s midfield since his arrival from Argentina, amassing four goals and 11 assists across 125 appearances (104 starts). This past season, he recorded one goal and three assists in 29 matches, including 18 starts.
