Dhaka, Feb 13 (V7N) – The government is considering the removal of police verification to streamline the passport issuance process, according to Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (retd) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury.

Speaking at a press conference on on-arrival visas at the Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday (February 13), he stated:

"Even though police verification currently exists, we are working on making the passport process easier. There will also be efforts to eliminate verification altogether."

The government aims to simplify the system while ensuring security and efficiency in passport issuance.
