Dhaka, Mar 01 (V7N) – The Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) has announced an all-out operation against identified criminals, with a special focus on combating politically motivated crimes during Ramadan.

At a press conference held at the DMP Media Center on Minto Road on Saturday, DB Additional Commissioner Rezaul Karim Mallick stated that fascist political forces are inciting various crimes, and special detective operations will be launched to neutralize them.

Key Announcements from the DB Chief:

  • Zero Tolerance Policy – The DB will take strict action against terrorists, robbers, kidnappers, and drug dealers.
  • Technology-Based Surveillance – Advanced IT surveillance will be used to maintain security.
  • Special Ramadan Operations – Undercover DB personnel will be deployed in markets, bus terminals, and shopping malls to prevent crimes.
  • Collaboration with Joint Forces – DB is working alongside the joint forces to tighten security measures.
  • Public Vigilance Encouraged – Residents were urged to report suspicious activities, especially those impersonating DB officers.

Senior DB officials, including DMP Joint Commissioners Mohammad Nasirul Islam (DB South), Mohammad Rabiul Hossain Bhuiyan (DB North), Syed Harun Or Rashid (Cyber Security), and DMP Spokesperson Muhammad Talebur Rahman, were present at the event.

The DB chief reassured the public that law enforcement efforts will be intensified to ensure a peaceful Ramadan in the capital.
