Dhaka, Mar 21 (V7N) – Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan, the Youth and Sports Advisor, has raised alarms over efforts to bring back the Awami League just before the anniversary of the genocide. In a post on his verified Facebook account on Friday afternoon, he expressed concerns about the political moves happening around this time.
Bhuiyan wrote, "Since when did we become more inclusively democratic than Germany and Italy? The desire to bring back the Awami League just before the anniversary of the genocide is dangerous." His comments are directed at the growing calls for the Awami League's return in the political scene, which he views as part of a dangerous political plot.
In a separate midnight post, Bhuiyan voiced his concerns over political pressure and the Awami League’s plans. He noted, "I don't know what will happen to me after posting this. I may have to face various pressures, I may even face danger. But there is no room for any compromise on the issue of banning the Awami League."
Bhuiyan also revealed details of what he referred to as a new conspiracy, calling it the "Refined Awami League." He accused India of backing the plan, which allegedly includes figures like Saber Hossain Chowdhury, Shirin Sharmin, and Taposh. He claimed the plan was presented to him and two others in the cantonment on March 11, where an offer was made to accept the proposal in exchange for a seat agreement.
The advisor’s comments have sparked political debates and raised tensions ahead of significant political developments in the country.
