Washington, July 30 (V7N) – The third round of talks between Bangladesh and the United States on tariff-related issues officially began at 2 PM local time on Tuesday (July 29), marking another significant step in bilateral trade negotiations.
Prior to the formal session, an informal discussion was held at 12:30 PM, with talks expected to continue until 5 PM today. Discussions will resume tomorrow, Wednesday, at 9 AM local time.
The Bangladesh delegation, led by Trade Advisor Sheikh Bashiruddin, arrived in Washington earlier in the day. Key members of the delegation include:

Officials from various ministries and departments in Bangladesh are also participating virtually from Dhaka to provide technical and policy support.
On the U.S. side, the delegation is headed by Assistant Trade Representative Brendan Lynch, accompanied by officials focusing on trade, tariffs, and customs matters.
The Bangladesh Embassy in Washington, DC is overseeing the coordination and facilitation of this ongoing negotiation process.
This round of talks is viewed as crucial in addressing concerns over tariff barriers, market access, and preferential trade terms. Both sides are expected to explore mutually beneficial solutions to enhance bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
