DHAKA, Mar 10, (V7N) –Expatriate Bangladeshis sent $814.29 million in remittances during the first eight days of March in the 2024-25 fiscal year, according to Bangladesh Bank (BB) data released today.
Of this amount, state-owned and specialized banks received $299.80 million, while private banks accounted for $512.94 million.
Among state-owned commercial banks, Agrani, Janata, Rupali, Sonali, Basic, and BDBL collectively received $231.35 million, while Bangladesh Krishi Bank alone received $68.45 million.
The highest remittance inflow came through Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd., which received $160.13 million, making it the leading recipient among private banks.
