Pabna, March 10, (V7N)– A 35-year-old man, Nikbar Hossain, was injured in a cocktail explosion in Santhia, Pabna, on Sunday night. Following the blast, police recovered six cocktails and five petrol bombs from the scene.

The incident took place around 10 PM on the ground floor of Shashdia Government Primary School No. 165. Locals, startled by three loud explosions, rushed to the site and discovered the explosives wrapped in red tape. They immediately notified the police.

Santhia Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Saidur Rahman stated that the initial investigation suggests the explosion occurred while making the bombs. Nikbar Hossain, the injured youth, has gone into hiding, and authorities are actively searching for him. Police officials, including Superintendent Mortoza Ali, have visited the scene.

"We are investigating the purpose behind these explosives and trying to locate the injured individual," said OC Saidur Rahman. No formal complaint has been filed yet.
