Khagrachhari, Mar 21 (V7N)– The Bangladesh Gita Education Committee (BAGISHIK) Khagrachhari District Sangsad held its triennial conference 2025 at the Sanatan Samaj Kalyan Parishad central office hall in Khagrachhari headquarters on Friday, March 21, 2025. The event, themed "Shri Sri Gita Alo Ghar Ghar Jwalo" (Light the Gita in Every Home), aimed to promote spiritual education and community welfare.

The conference was inaugurated by Prabhat Kumar Talukder, convener of BAGISHIK Khagrachhari District Sangsad, and Suman Acharya, member secretary. Dilip Kumar Bhattacharya, founding president of BAGISHIK Central Sangsad, attended as a distinguished guest.

Chief guest Dr. Anjan Kumar Das, vice-president of BAGISHIK Central Sangsad, emphasized the importance of studying the Gita for personal peace and self-purification. He stated, "Gita means goodness, Gita means welfare. The more the light of Gita spreads, the more the path to welfare will be smooth. All paths to peace will be found in the Gita." He also highlighted the Gita's comprehensive guidance on knowledge, intelligence, and respect.

"Chief guest Dr. Anjan Kumar Das, in his speech, said that by studying the Gita, one will find their own path to peace and self-purification in every religious field," a conference spokesperson noted.

Special guests included Supriyo Biswas, Assistant Project Director of the Hindu Religious Welfare Trust Khagrachhari District, Sujan Debnath, Joint General Secretary of BAGISHIK Central Sangsad, Eng. Nirmal Kanti Das, Convener of Khagrachhari Central Sanatan Samaj Kalyan Parishad, and Ashok Majumdar, Member Secretary of Bangladesh Puja Udjavan Parishad and Sanatan Samaj Kalyan Parishad Khagrachhari Central.

The ceremony began with a floral welcome, the national anthem, and religious rituals. Subsequently, the conference announced Prabhat Kumar Talukder as president, Suman Acharya as secretary, Utpal Kumar Dey as organizing secretary, and Bim Debnath as senior member. A 41-member committee will be formed later, according to sources.

The conference underscored the significance of Gita education in fostering spiritual growth and community well-being in the Khagrachhari district.
