Dhaka, Mar 16 (V7N) – Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus is set to meet with 127 top police officers from across Bangladesh on March 17 to discuss the law and order situation in the country. The meeting will be held at the Chief Advisor’s Tejgaon office and will include police officers of the rank of Superintendent of Police and above, along with metropolitan commissioners, range DIGs, and crime team members.
Abul Kalam Azad Majumder, the Deputy Press Secretary to the Chief Advisor, made the announcement at a regular briefing at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka on Sunday (March 16). Azad mentioned that the meeting comes in light of growing concerns among the public regarding the law and order situation in the country.
In the meeting, the officers will brief the Chief Advisor about the various initiatives taken by the police since August 5 and will provide updates on the measures implemented to restore the morale of the force. Inspector General of Police (IGP) will deliver the welcome speech and further outline the developments in police activities across the country.
The briefing also highlighted that this year’s Police Week will take place on April 29, where the Chief Advisor is expected to deliver a speech and offer directions. Before that, the police officers will receive special instructions during Monday’s meeting.
