Rajshahi, Jan 12 (V7N) —The passing out parade of the 167th batch of Trainee Recruit Constables (TRC) was finally held at the Bangladesh Police Academy in Sardah, Charghat Upazila, Rajshahi.

The event took place on Sunday morning, with Additional IGP Masudur Rahman Bhuiyan attending as the chief guest.


He received the salute, inspected the parade and distributed awards to TRCs who excelled in various categories.

According to information from the Police Academy, the six-month basic training for Trainee Recruit Constables began on June 24 last year and was scheduled to conclude on December 20.

The passing out parade was initially planned for December 19 but was postponed on December 9 due to "unavoidable circumstances."

On January 3, eight police constables were relieved from training and discharged from the academy.

Among the 334 trainees, Sajjadul Islam (PA/544) was selected as the Best TRC.

In addition, Suman Ali (PA/542) was named Best Academic, while Pourab Chandra Roy (PA/145) was recognized as Best in Field Activities and Best Shooter.
