Dhaka, Jun 03 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has reduced the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for the month of June. The price of a standard 12-kg LPG cylinder has been decreased by Tk 28, setting the new retail price at Tk 1,403.

BERC Chairman Jalal Ahmed made the announcement on Monday, stating that the revised price will come into effect from 6:00 pm today.

This marks the second consecutive month of LPG price reduction. On May 4, the price of a 12-kg cylinder was lowered by Tk 19 to Tk 1,431. In April, BERC kept the price unchanged, while in March, it had reduced the price by Tk 28 to Tk 1,450. However, in February, the price was increased by Tk 19 to Tk 1,478. Earlier in January, the price had been raised slightly by Tk 4 to Tk 1,459.

The monthly price adjustments are based on international market trends and fluctuations in the cost of imported LPG.
