Dhaka, Jan 20 (V7N) — The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Intelligence Branch (DB) has arrested Evaly Chairman Shamima Nasrin and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mohammad Rasel.

A DB team arrested them from the Dhanmondi area of the capital around midnight on Tuesday (January 20).

Confirming the matter, Deputy Police Commissioner (DC) of DMP’s Media and Public Relations Department, Muhammad Talebur Rahman, said that both Evaly officials had been taken into custody.

He further stated that a total of 391 arrest warrants have been issued against Mohammad Rasel and Shamima Nasrin in connection with multiple cases.

Further legal proceedings against the arrested Evaly officials are underway, police said.
