Prague, Sep 30 (V7N)- England secured their first UEFA Nations League victory under Thomas Tuchel with a 2-0 win over 10-man Czechia in Prague on Tuesday.
The hosts were reduced to 10 players in the 25th minute when Pavel Šulc was shown a red card following a VAR review of his challenge on Elliot Anderson.
Despite having a numerical advantage, England could not break the deadlock before halftime. Morgan Rogers struck the post, while Harry Kane also came close to opening the scoring.
England finally took the lead two minutes after the restart. Trent Alexander-Arnold delivered a precise cross from the right, and Anthony Gordon headed the ball into the net to make it 1-0.
The Three Lions continued to control the match and created further opportunities as Czechia struggled to contain the visitors.
Captain Harry Kane doubled England's advantage in the 69th minute, scoring his 87th international goal to put the result beyond doubt.
England maintained their clean sheet through the closing stages to secure all three points at the Fortuna Arena.
The victory came after England's 3-2 defeat to Spain in their opening Nations League match, giving Tuchel's side their first win of the campaign.
