Israeli forces have conducted their first withdrawal from Al-Khiam in southern Lebanon as part of a ceasefire agreement, marking a significant step towards implementing the ceasefire established on November 27. The withdrawal is coordinated with the Lebanese Armed Forces and the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), under the supervision of the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM).

This move includes the deployment of the Lebanese army and UNIFIL in southern Lebanon to replace Israeli troops, and Hezbollah's commitment to withdraw its forces north of the Litani River while dismantling military infrastructure in the south. Despite the generally held ceasefire, both sides have reported alleged violations since its enactment. The full withdrawal process is expected to be completed within 60 days.
