Dhaka, Feb 15 (V7N) – The National Consensus Commission, led by Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, held its first meeting with political parties today (Saturday) at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka.

Key Participants

A six-member BNP delegation, led by Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, attended the meeting. Other prominent attendees included:

  • Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) – Chairman Col. (Retd.) Oli Ahmed
  • Nagorik Oikya – President Mahmudur Rahman Manna

  • BJP – Chairman Andalib Rahman Partha

The National Consensus Commission, formed by the interim government, aims to build national unity and implement key reforms. It was formally announced last Wednesday, with a seven-member panel chaired by Dr. Muhammad Yunus.
