Dhaka, July 19, (V7N) – The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has strongly denied allegations circulating on social media that the Bangladesh Army provided buses to a political party for its political programs.
In a statement issued on Saturday (July 19), the ISPR termed the claim as “completely false, intentional, and misleading,” asserting that it is a deliberate attempt to tarnish the image of the Bangladesh Army.
The ISPR clarified that some public transport is temporarily hired from external sources to transport students to educational institutions run by the army. During this period, temporary signs or logos may be used on those vehicles. However, in some cases, buses that previously served under contract with the army continue to use army logos illegally even after their agreement has ended—an act deemed unlawful.
The statement emphasized that a vested interest group is trying to make the army controversial through misinformation. The ISPR urged the public not to be misled by unverified information and to refrain from sharing such content.
“The Bangladesh Army remains committed to the constitution, national security, and upholding the highest standards of professionalism,” the statement concluded.
