On Sunday morning, metro rail operations experienced a disruption lasting over an hour, starting from 7 am, due to a piece of foil paper becoming entangled in the overhead wires.
A reliable source from the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) confirmed the incident.
Following morning rainfall, a piece of foil paper was carried by strong winds and got stuck in the overhead catenary system of the metro rail, somewhere between the Bijoy Shani and Farmgate stations. It took approximately five minutes to remove the obstruction.
The source further explained that due to the absence of a maintenance team at that time, it took about an hour to fully resolve the issue.
Passengers who were present at the station reported that the incident occurred around 7 am when many people were gathered at the station.
