Sirajganj, Jan 30 (V7N) – Sirajganj District celebrated its 41st founding anniversary with a discussion meeting, award ceremony, and cake cutting on Thursday morning. The event was organized by Sirajganj District Development Forum and daily Kolom Soinik at the Kolom Media Center.

The discussion centered on the district’s issues, potential, and development ideas, with BNP National Executive Committee member and district BNP General Secretary Saidur Rahman Bacchu delivering the keynote address.

The event was chaired by Mohammad Abdul Hamid, the organizer of the Sirajganj District Foundation Celebration Committee and editor of Kolom Soinik. It was conducted by Dulal Uddin Ahmed, assistant editor of Ajker Jonobani. Special guests included Sirajganj BNP Organizational Secretary Mirza Mustafa Zaman, District and Sessions Judge Public Prosecutor and District Bar Association President Advocate Rafiq Sorkar, Sirajganj Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary Professor Shahidul Islam, Sirajganj Press Club President Harun Ar Rashid Khan Hasan, General Secretary Shariful Islam Inna, Acting Principal of Sabuj Kanon School and College Masudur Alam, and prominent businessman Pradeep Kumar Roy.

The ceremony honored 12 distinguished individuals for their contributions to the district's development. The guests expressed hope that the next generation would help restore and further strengthen Sirajganj’s legacy in education, industry, literature, politics, business, and culture.

The event was attended by journalists from various print and electronic media, along with political, social, and public representatives from the district.
