Khagrachhari, March 18 (V7N) – An 11-year-old student was kidnapped while on her way to private coaching in Ramgarh Upazila. Based on a complaint from her guardian, Ramgarh police arrested two individuals on Tuesday (March 18) at 2 PM in Taichalapara under Ramgarh Police Station.

The arrested suspects are Raju Tripura (42), a resident of Taichalapara, and Babul Mia Munna (26), an autorickshaw driver. Investigations revealed that on Sunday (March 16) at 8 AM, the accused forcibly abducted the girl while she was heading to Ramgarh Girls’ High School. When she screamed for help, locals intervened, forcing the kidnappers to flee, leaving her behind.

Following the guardian's complaint, police filed a case under the Women and Child Abuse Act. Ramgarh Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Moin Uddin confirmed that the arrested individuals have been handed over to the court after a special operation.

The incident has caused widespread concern, prompting authorities to increase security measures to ensure the safety of students in the region.
