Dhaka, Oct 20 (V7N)- After an 11-day extended holiday, all public and private educational institutions across Bangladesh resumed normal operations today, welcoming students back to classes and academic activities. The break, which lasted from October 9 to October 19, was the result of several consecutive holidays including Durga Puja, Fateha-e-Yazdaham, Lakshmi Puja, and Prabarana Purnima.

According to the annual calendar issued by the Ministry of Education, the autumn break for Durga Puja started on October 9, followed by a holiday for Fateha-e-Yazdaham on October 15, and subsequent holidays for Lakshmi Puja and Prabarana Purnima on October 16. Educational institutions remained closed until October 17, with the weekend extending the closure until Saturday, October 19.

As of Sunday, students and teachers returned to schools, bringing life back to classrooms after the prolonged break. Both public and private institutions, ranging from schools to colleges and universities, were bustling with academic activities.

Offices, courts, banks, and financial institutions, which had also been closed during the holiday period, had already reopened earlier on Monday, October 14. However, today marks the first day back for the nation's educational sector.

The Ministry of Education confirmed that all institutions have resumed their regular schedules from today, with an aim to recover any academic time lost during the break.
