Barisal, Feb 25 (V7N) – Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Vice-Chairman Abdul Awal Mintu has promised to form a government elected by the people. Speaking at a meeting with district BNP leaders, Mintu emphasized the party’s long struggle for free elections and called for the swift holding of national elections. He urged voters to support the party, asserting that if elected, BNP will lead the country.
Mintu stated, “BNP has fought for 17 years for free and fair elections. The fall of the autocratic government was our primary victory. The final victory will come when we win the elections. If the people give us their votes, we will form the government.”
Additionally, Mintu called for national elections to be held at the earliest opportunity. District BNP leaders noted that the absence of a district BNP committee for a long time has slowed down organizational activities in the region.
The meeting was chaired by Akon Kuddusur Rahman, Co-Organizational Secretary of the BNP Central Executive Committee, and included speeches from Co-Organizational Secretary Mahabubul Haque Nannu, Co-Secretary for Forest and Environment Kazi Rownakul Islam Tipu, as well as district and upazila leaders.
