Bhola, Apr 05 (V7N) – Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) Chairman Andalib Rahman Partha has expressed optimism over the ongoing dialogue between Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that it could pave the way for positive outcomes for Bangladesh.
Speaking to journalists at his residence in Bhola on Saturday afternoon, Partha said, "Although the interim government is not a government elected by public vote, it is still a government of the people. We are all working together so that this government does not fail in any way."
He emphasized that constructive diplomatic engagement with neighboring countries like India is essential, especially during transitional periods. “The meeting between the Chief Advisor and the Indian Prime Minister is a hopeful sign. I believe it will bring something good for our country,” Partha added.
Regarding the upcoming national elections, Andalib Rahman Partha said the Chief Advisor has indicated a timeframe between December and June, but he personally believes the election is most likely to be held in December.
“In the meantime, necessary reforms will be made. And those that remain will be addressed by the elected government,” he explained.
Partha also acknowledged that it is still unclear which specific reforms the interim government will implement. “Much of what lies ahead will depend on the reforms made during this time,” he noted.
He confirmed that the Bangladesh Jatiya Party has already begun organizing itself in preparation for the election, signaling their intent to be an active participant in the upcoming polls.
As political discussions and international diplomacy intensify, parties across the spectrum are gearing up for what is expected to be a pivotal national election season.
