Dhaka, Sept 16 (V7N) – Bangladesh and India today discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in civil aviation, with particular focus on improving air connectivity, expanding air cargo capacity and promoting tourism between the two neighbouring countries.
The issues were discussed when Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi met Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat at the secretariat here, according to a press release.
During the meeting, the two sides held wide-ranging discussions on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the civil aviation and tourism sectors. They particularly explored ways to improve air connectivity between the two countries and enhance air cargo capacity to facilitate growing movement of passengers and goods.
The two sides also discussed measures to improve bilateral working mechanisms in the aviation sector and promote tourism cooperation between Bangladesh and India. The meeting reflected the two countries' interest in further strengthening cooperation in aviation and tourism and exploring opportunities for closer connectivity.
