Bagerhat, Feb 20 (V7N) – A workshop aimed at empowering youth in politics was held in Bagerhat, focusing on building links with political party leaders. The event, organized by the development organization Wada in collaboration with the High Commission of Canada to Bangladesh, took place on Wednesday afternoon at the Dhan Sirdi Hotel in the city.

The workshop was chaired by Bagerhat Press Club President Mohammad Kamruzzaman and hosted by Wada's Chairperson and CEO Nilufa Akter Iti. The chief guest, M.A. Salam, former President of Bagerhat District BNP, addressed the attendees. Other speakers included ATM Akram Hossain Talim, Convener of Bagerhat District BNP, Sheikh Yunus Ali, Secretary of the District Jamaat, Mohammad Nurul Islam, President of Gono Adhikar Parishad, Mahabubur Rahman Liton, Senior Joint General Secretary of District Jatiya Party, and Sahida Akter, President of District Women's Party.

The workshop also featured speeches from members of Wada's Youth Group, including Mohammad Sajid, Tuli Akter, Abhijit, Zui Akter, and Mohammad Alamgir. The event focused on inspiring young people to advocate for transparency, accountability, good governance, and political skill development within democratic systems.
