Tangail, Feb 17 (V7N) – Former minister Dr. Moin Khan, BNP Standing Committee member, stated that new voters who have never cast a ballot are eager to exercise their voting rights, emphasizing that elections must not be delayed.

Speaking as the chief guest at a public meeting organized by Tangail District BNP at Shaheed Smriti Municipal Park on Monday afternoon, Dr. Moin Khan said, “The people are willing to go without food for a day, but they want to vote. People's voting rights cannot be played with—elections must be held immediately.”

He criticized the government’s failure to control rising commodity prices, warning that profiteers must be suppressed ahead of Ramadan to avoid public outrage. He also addressed concerns over law and order, saying the government must work sincerely to bring stability.

The event was chaired by Tangail District BNP President Hasanuzzammil Shaheen, with BNP Vice Chairman Ahmed Azam Khan as the main speaker. Other attendees included BNP Publicity Secretary Sultan Salahuddin Tuku, Organizing Secretary Saidul Islam Babul, and Standing Committee Member Lutfor Rahman Matin.
