DHAKA, Jan 12, (V7N) – The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted predominantly dry weather across the country for the next 24 hours, starting from 9:00 am today.
"Weather may remain dry with a temporarily partly cloudy sky over the country," the BMD stated in its latest bulletin.
The forecast attributes the current weather pattern to the ridge of a sub-continental high extending into West Bengal and adjoining regions, while a seasonal low lies over the South Bay, stretching its trough into the North Bay.
Light to moderate fog may develop in some areas during late night to early morning hours.
Nighttime temperatures are expected to rise slightly, while daytime temperatures will likely remain steady.
On Saturday, the highest temperature was recorded at 31.0°C in Ambagan, Khulshi Thana, while today’s lowest temperature dropped to 10.2°C.
In Dhaka, the sun will set at 5:30 pm today and rise at 6:43 am tomorrow.
